CENTRAL HEATING MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
In order to ensure the optimal performance of central heating systems, we perform a comprehensive range of maintenance services. Naturally, this work differs from job to job, so we tailor our approach to suit the unique requirements of each customer or client. With time-served fault-finding techniques and the latest in diagnostics equipment, we quickly isolate any issues in central heating systems operating below standard.
With a clear idea of the problem, or problems, we present our recommended repairs along with a detailed, transparent quotation for the work.
Whether you have old, inefficient radiators or you want to update your current ones along with your boiler, Intersmooth Developments covers every aspect of improvement work. If your property in Chislehurst or the neighbouring areas has small radiators, they need to reach much higher temperatures to sufficiently heat the room. In turn, this means the boiler must work harder. A switch to lager radiators allows for a lower temperature while still providing sufficient heat.
If you decide to upgrade your boiler, older radiators may not have the ability to handle the improved output, particularly with combi designs or anything larger than the one before. As your heating engineer, we assess your own specific needs during a home visit.
UPGRADING TO SMART CONTROLS
The traditional on/off controls of a boiler dates back to the 1960s, so it’s no surprise that an increasing number of homeowners continue to make the switch to 21st century smart controls. Options range from thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) to zone controlled heating systems. These smart controls allow property owners to increase their boiler efficiency and save money on energy bills.
During this process, one of our heating engineers applies a chemical to the system to loosen and remove scale and iron oxide (sludge) build-ups inside radiators, pipework and boilers. We then flush this mixture out before adding more chemicals that inhibit the regrowth of the now cleared sludge and scale.
